Surrey Heath Museum Action Group (SHMAG) exists to promote the Surrey Heath Museum. It also runs the Heritage Gallery in Obelisk Way, which has displays on two floors focusing on local history, art and photography from over 45 local societies. There is a programme of weekly lectures by local speakers on a range of topics.

SHMAG works closely with the Museum to produce an annual calendar. Funds generated are used to provide the Museum with financial help for specific projects.
